Hello ladies, I am wondering if someone has made the same experience. My first horrible menopause symptom was anxiety, crazy thoughts and being nervous. I am on HRT for a year now and take 37mg venlafaxine. But I really can't forget this horrible first months before I found out it was menopause. So whenever I have days/ weeks feeling not so well I worry at once that this horrible anxiety is going to come back. Who can relate to this? Any advice?
Best wishes

Hi Yes I continually worry that I am going to go backwards, but it has got better with time. I really fear going back to where I was 2 years ago. x
-
I was in the dark place end of last year before I was found to be perimenopausal and I hope never to go back there, it was scary and isolating, just need to crack this anxiety now x
-
Yep. I DREAD going back to that dark place as I don't know if I could survive again :-\.
Propranolol 20mg at night
10mg AD at night
5mg AD and a statin at breakfast
Emergency anti-anxiety to hand - not required since Sept..

Yes I too dread going back to that dark place, I had panic attacks more or less all day every day. Hrt sorted me out and pray to God it continues to work.

DH told me years ago that I would find something to worry about if it wasn't in front of me >:(. But the anxiety hits, instantly and floors me. I can go places without problems several times then suddenly ........ :-\. I can stand somewhere that would cause anxiety and it doesn't happen, go figure.
I do avoid theatres and don't book anything that is important ...... spontaneous, me ;-)

Hi thanks for you reply.
Countrygirl: what do you do to crack the anxiety?

I'm trying the cbd oil again, but going to use it regularly this time and I'm waiting for counselling too as can't take anti depressants as they made me worse x
-
Are you on HRT as well, Countrygirl?

Yep hi ladies know the feeling
Had my first panic episode about 3 years ago when Diagnosed with early menopause
Since then, scared of doing stuff but once you do it, it's fine, honestly.
Travelled to Spain for a month during the summer and it was the best thing ever.
Love and encouragement to all xxx

Hi, I use 4 pumps Estrogel, with Mirena coil and Testogel every day.
-
Do you have a place in Spain Golden retriever? 4 me anxiety B4 an event can kill it completely if it gets worse :-\

Hi I totally sympathise,
panic attacks are dreadful to cope with, this book is useful -Overcoming Worry and Generalised Anxiety Disorder, 2nd Edition (Overcoming Books) Paperback – 7 May 2015
by Mark Freeston (Author), Kevin Meares (Author)
I find that these days I can't overload myself as my resilience is not what it used to be. We have so much more to cope with these days. I try to do positive thinking and do something nice each day, even something small like giving away my parking ticket made a lady very happy, which in turn made me feel good for a bit. Sounds silly but it all adds up.

Totally and utterly worry about going back where I was before my hrt kicked in....
But the longer I feel ok everyday, the little less the worry. So I'm hoping time will heal.
It's almost like trauma, it takes time to get over it.....if we ever can get over it, maybe it'll stay with us forever, because it WAS so traumatic......?

Jillydoll..that's exactly how I feel xx
-
Jillydoll you've got it exactly there it is Trauma and I think that's why it stays with us, hopefully it will fade as more good days replace the bad days x
-
Hello jillydoll, I totally agree it is like a Trauma!! Started a new HRT today because of the shortage. Now I take lenzetto spray and utrogest pills. I think the spray isn't much used in the Uk. I live in Germany. Fingers crossed that it will work
