Hi,
It's been 7 months now since I was given Vagifem. I did not realise I had VA as I was never sore. The only symptom I had was a water infection that burnt my vulva at the end of weeing and this caused my vulva to be red and sore to the point it hurt when I sat and bent over. They tested me again and said that there was no infection so I was given Vagifem. After reading and posting in the forum I tried various moisturisers all of which made things worse so I stopped using everything but the Vagifem every 3 days. I have now got to a point where it is not as intense as it was at the beginning but it is still not right. I have been to a private gynaecologist who gave me steroid cream and estriol only for both of these to irritate. I have also been to a vulva skin specialist who could find no visible cause for the soreness and thought it was vulval pain syndrome. I tried the epaderm that she recommended and this irritated and gave my cystitis. I now don't know what to do as finally after 6 months my nhs appointment has come through to see the gynae at the local hospital.
Do I go?
I feel stupid going if I do have VA as it's never going to be resolved and I will have these sore days all the time.

Hi...
Yes you should go....definitely...
Just tell them what you've told us on here...
You can't give up, it needs to be sorted...
If you don't go, you'll never know...and it may get sorted for you...
I'd definitely go...
Let us know how you get on...good luck.......

Yes, as jillydoll says, definitely go. You could use Vagifem daily, many do. If you are very sore, Ovestin or Estriol Cream might well irritate. In the meantime, you could try mixing it with a bit of oil-based vaginal moisturiser to take the sting out. Something like Yes OB or Olive & Bee.
