Title: Experiences with Vagifem
Post by: Whatsupwiththis on August 07, 2019, 12:41:32 PM
Hi everyone:  I would like to know everyone's experience with Vagifem.  I am having some negative issues with the pessary causing skin issues and making VVA worse.  Pharmacist mentioned Vagifem was 'old school' and better products on the market.  Dr. will NOT consider the patch due to my age but feel this might be my best option.

How old are you?

GP isn't on the ball.

What are your symptoms?  Mine was like razor blades up there  :o.  I use 'ovestin' cream measured in an applicator.  Some are sensitive to the fillers or coatings so it might be worth you asking for 'ovestin', again 2 weeks nightly initially.

Your Pharmacist is out of date too, what would he/she suggest?

Read our threads on bladder issues and vaginal atrophy. Make notes ;-)

Glad to hear Ovestin is working so well for you.

VA can only be managed, not cured. If local oestrogen treatment is stopped, symptoms will probably return.
