Is it possible to private message someone,? i have a problem which is identical to someone and would like to know the outcome of their experience

Yep. Click on their user name, then you get options like - add to buddy list (don't know what that does) and send PM.
Click on send PM. I think you then get a very similar page to when you post.
You can experiment on me if you like Jaycee.
