I went for a routine ultrasound today, as have a small cyst that they "watch". As usual I had the extrenal scan first. The radiographer said she could hardly see my ovaries, this has never been the case before. She did a follow up transvaginal scan as I expected. Does anyone know whether not seeing the ovaries has anything to do with being menopausal, just wondered.

When i went for one, about six years ago, she couldn't find one of mine and said it wasn't worrying because they get smaller near meno.
