Title: Generally a lazy cow!
Post by: Roobee on July 22, 2019, 11:32:52 AM
Does anyone else struggle to be bothered with anything? I get up from a crap nights sleep every day and can barely be bothered to get dressed, shower or brush my teeth. I sit here looking at jobs that need doing (things I was always on top of) and cannot fathom the energy to bother.
I don't feel especially tired during the day, I've tried to sleep sometimes but I can't. All I want is to sit about doing nothing much...is this normal?
Is it meno or depression? I don't feel depressed, I feel stressed with how my life has changed and the anxiety I have is awful (life changing) but I don't feel desperately depressed. I feel mainly sad and worried that I will feel like this forever!

I can relate to what you are saying, I sleep well, probably go to bed a bit late as it's the only time I get to myself.
I don't feel depressed but am overwhelmed with what needs doing, not helped by having elderly relatives and three teenagers of which one is home educated.
I have flung tatty clothes on with intention of blitzing house but am sat here thinking maybe another coffee will help!

Birdy do you think this is depression? I'm scared of how I feel. I have awful anxiety, so much so that I barely go out.
I know I should make myself but I feel so awful at the prospect I just stay home.
Someone who can't be bothered to brush their teeth or wash, has to have a problem right?
Rewind to about a year ago and I never sat still, rushing here there and everywhere, loads of energy enthusiasm and zest for life...

That's how I felt. Not completely back to normal but much better than I was. Where ar up to in meno and are you on HRT? Hrt took 3 months to sort out insomnia & anxiety but I needed testosterone too for motivation. Imo if you can't sleep properly you are guaranteed to feel cr*p.

I'm 48, not had a period for years but had a coil so who knows. It was removed as it had expired and haven't had one since so again who knows?
Had a blood test recently that showed post meno results for FSH and LH but normal levels of Oestradiol so again who knows?

Coils are great but doesn't give you much idea about where your periods are at if you don't have any. I wonder if it's progesterone I need? Like was the coil keeping that normal and now it isn't, but I'm pretty sure you can't take one without the other.
If my oestrogen is normal you would think I don't need that 🙈 Honestly just trying to get your head round it all stresses you out, let alone how you feel
