Hi I'm new to this... I'm 37 and starting taking femoston around 6 weeks ago,not because I had any particular symptoms but for the risk of osteoporosis.
I've been getting on ok with the femoston ok but the period it gave me was so heavy!!!!
Anyway I know I have to keep going to give it a chance etc...
but I'm going on holiday right when a 'period' would be due :-\... is there anything I can do? Should I stop taking it ?
Prior to taking the femoston I hadn't had a period for around 6 months & I was happy with that!
Any advice would be appreciated!!

Welcome. Take plenty of pads! There is a drug that can lessen heavy bleeds, might be worth having a chat with your GP or local Phramcasist?
Browse round. We have a holiday thread here ;)
Put the product name into the search box to see what pops up, make notes.

Hi Victoria888
:welcomemm:
The thing is, most of us get break through bleeding when we first start hrt...any bleeding is to be expected up for around 3/6 months. I take it your on the sequi version of Femoston.? As you havnt gone 12 months without a period....
I don't know much about the sequi Femoston, so can't advise as to wheather or not you should stop it.
You could I suppose, then go back on it after your holiday, and hope it stops, as, as you say your not really suffering any symptoms...the only thing I can say is that it might trigger another period. But I'm guessing, I'm sure someone else will be on to offer advice....good luck anyway, and have a good holiday....
Jd xx

Thanks !
Yes I'm on the hrt that makes you have menstrual bleed every 28 days!
I wondered if there was a way to bring the period forward or a way to delay it!?
So tricky to know!
I'd like to hear from people that may have done this ??
I'll have a search through the forum and see what I can find.

Does it say in the leaflet in the box? Or maybe have a word with a Pharmacist?
