Title: Combined patch - mood crashed

Hi everyone.

I started using the combined progesterone/oestrogen patches 2 weeks ago and I feel absolutely awful. Irritability through the roof - like I could kill someone (mostly my poor husband). It's like the worst PMT multiplied by 10. Never felt this bad ever.  This makes being menopausal seem like a walk in the park. (aged 50 and menopausal for 3 years).

I'm on holiday and really want to stop the patches right now because I can't enjoy anything like this and it's spoiling the holiday for everyone else. If I'm not biting someone's head off I'm crying my eyes out. Just horrible.

Anyone else had this reaction to the combined patch? Should I give it another go after the holiday or is it really not for me?

Hi it could be the progesterone ( norethisterone) that isn't suiting you x
