Post by: ladylollipop on June 12, 2019, 11:21:28 AM
Hello everybody, oh no! Fem7sequi is out of stock in Germany, too. Not available until the first months in 2020. I do know that is out of stock in England too for a while. What did you do? What is the alternative? Hope you can help me . I am really shocked

Hi, this was the best HRT I tried, not been able to find a substitute for it. I'll probably gave to muddle through till it comes back in stock in 2020. :(

Thanks for your reply. Doesn't sound good. I was so lucky to found this HRT . I am on it since August 2018. felt so rubbish before. How can it go out of stock if so many women take it!?

I think there was a problem with the adhesion of the patches. I used to have to tape mine on...

I only had occasional trouble with it sticking, and I was cross they withdrew it in its entirety because of that. I am on Femoston Conti now ( I am long post menopause ) and it's not too bad an alternative...slightly lower dose but no terrible side effects thus far. Prior to that I tried FemSeven 50 patches and utrogestan but felt awful on utrogestan .. ..that's not a universal thing by the way, ...a lot of women do much better than me on it.
Let's keep up the pressure on Theramex. They have let down many women. My Meno specialist has said she's dealing with quite a few women on her caseload who are struggling with the alternatives.

Hi Rose, I'm struggling with Utrogestan too, aches and pains and generally feeling down in the dumps. I know the Mirena coil has the same progesterone ingredient in it so that maybe the next route.

Hi Tracy...I was also going to have a Mirena for the same reason..levornogestrel being in both the Mirena and FemSeven Conti. But I'd had such a catastrophic bleed on utrogestan after feeling awful on it for a while, and when the subsequent scan showed a fibroid, I decided against it in favour of Femoston Conti. My Meno specialist noted that I'd been on a Sequi formulation (now discontinued) a long time ago which had contained dydrogesterone as the progestogen and since I'd felt ok on that she suggested I try Femoston. She's been so helpful.

I'm glad it suits you, :) I did try Femoston but it made my hair fall out so had to discontinue. Why are there so many side effects to HRT, I thought it was ment to be our saviour.. :(

It was the first one I tried and I only had it for 3 months before it went out of stock. As it was my first I didnt know it at the time but it was the best so far. I tolerated the progesterone well and seemed to absorb the patch although it wasnt a high enough dose.to say for sure. I did have trouble with it sticking though.

If it came back tommorow I'd be first in the queue. To try it again at a higher dose.

Many ladies switched to eastrogel and utrogestan. I didnt absorb the gel or the patch I am now on which is estradot but I'm not a good absorber so I'm probably not typical. Lots of ladies seem to get on well with the gel. Utrogestan seems a bit more problematic.

There are other sequi patches. For example everol.
Xx

There is also a supply problem with Evorel Sequi and Conti

No. What is going on?  More and more women using HRT than ever and our options are getting more and more limited.

Hello jaycee, can you please tell me where your daughter live maybe I could order from her supplier. Maybe I can use conti until sequi is available again. Thanks

Hi Jaycee

Femseven Conti has been discontinued so is your daughter still able to get it? I have been trying to find an alternative and have been feeling awful since I came off it. I'd be interested to know if she's got it recently.

Thanks x

Hi Jules, yes my daughter got hers last week, and is getting another months supply this week as she is going away for a month on holiday soon, and will run out otherwise/plenty here  for now anyway
Apparently there is plenty of Evoral conti, as my Dr checked before prescribing mine

I am in North Yorkshire, i have also read that femseven conti is in short supply, due to being discontinued for now, so my daughter might possibly have to change eventually

Thanks Jaycee. Unfortunately it is definitely out of stock here in Gloucestershire and is not likely to be back in supply until the end of this year, if at all😢.

So annoying as so many women are suffering because of this

Daniel30

So sorry to hear your patches are out of stock. The supply problems are getting ridiculous now! I have been in a right mess since they discontinued Femseven Conti 😢.  I'm on Evorel 50 but am going to come off as I don't feel great and the Utrogestan didn't suit me. How are they making you feel? I feel very nauseous, dizzy and anxious

Well Jules. the curse has now hit here, my daughter couldn't get her femseven conti after all, the chemist last week said they had plenty, now none, so as she is going on holiday on sunday for 3 weeks is in a panic, the chemist has rung our Drs and asked for a replacement for her, will update as to what she gets,
This is so wrong isn't it

Oh no Jaycee, that's awful 😢 . These bloody pharmaceutical  companies are literally messing with people's lives and don't realise what a massive impact this has!!

Unfortunately there isn't another patch with the same progesterone in. If she wanted the same progesterone she would need the Mirena coil and a separate Oestrogen patch. I really hope she finds a good alternative

She is being given evoral conti, like i have just started on, the chemist says they are very similiar, but like you say the progesterone is different, so i think she is just being placated,

They gave that to me as a replacement for Fem 7. It gave me palpitations so had to come off it..

She still has 2 weeks worth of femseven left, but had to get another prescription as she will be away when they run out,
She is worried about the side effects re hair loss ,as am i, my hair has started drastic thinning and don't want any more, [i have 3 almost bald patches] no idea why most of the things i have read point to  low iron, but i was on Livial so could have been that, but was on it previously and no hair loss
I have bought some Spatone to see if it makes a difference]
The progesterone in Evoral Conti is different to Femseven Conti, as it is Northeristerone, which apparently is a harsher progesterone, and it is this which apparently can cause hair loss

I experienced no increased hair loss on Evorel conti so hopefully she will be fine...

I only started evorel Conti in april but certainly no hair loss so far. My hair is particularly thick though so it would take a while to show.
