Hi Ladies,
I am really trying to hold it together at the moment, but failing. I have been getting a new symptom, during my withdrawal bleed. I used to get a normal bleed , red blood lasting a few days. But Things have changed.
Last month I had the same and just thought it was a one off, so didn't panic.
I get a little spotting to begin with and the next day i shower and bits of womb come out ( sorry TMI),no blood , it appears that the womb bits are stuck up there, then I get what can only be described as a watery substance comes out tinged with old brown blood. It is like I have wet myself. There is no normal period type blood as I used to get during the withdrawal bleed. Just water and a tiny bit of brown blood.
I am really worried, I can't get in to see my GP- .
Has anyone else got this? Is it normal? Any ideas? The wetness is making me sore.
Thanks PMX

Hi pepperminty.
When I bled after intercourse, I had, what looked like brown tinged skin coming out when I showered.
Could you have an infection? I say that because if it's making you sore, could it be that?
Sorry can't think of anything else, I'm sure someone else will post with more experience than me...xxx

Hi Jillydoll,
thanks for replying, it is such a help to know you can post for advice and support . I don't think it an infection as it only happens when I have my bleed. I have had a swob test a couple of weeks ago and it did not show anything. It is adding to my already overloaded health axieties at the moment. I am trying to be rational but as we know during the menopause things can get a bit overwhelming.

Hi pepperminty. I too had this a my periods became less and less. No real blood just a brownish substance. Did get it checked out and the consultant was not alarmed and said it is common with a lot of women. Like jillydoll I also got it after intercourse which was scary but again was nothing to worry about. Hopefully this is what you are experiencing too :bighug:

Hi Herdwick, thanks.
Maybe I am not getting enough estrogen to get a proper bleed, just to shed the lining? Perhaps I should think about continuous combined .

It isn't womb but old blood that is slow to be released. A slow to pour period. Mine waxed and waned and would start and stop over a few days ending in a gap of 2/3 days B4 brown blood on my pants.
As hormones slow down it takes a bit of a shove to release the blood ::)
I had a polyp which bled on contact. Disappeared at peri ;-)

I had this too Pepperminty it was old blood and nothing to worry about x

Thanks ladies for all your replies,
when you have never had it before, you worry. The brown old blood, is a bit slow to come out CLKD, odd how it hangs around. It was the wateriness that unnerved me.
A couple of months ago I increased my estrogen by a little bit and had 2 full on stonking painfull periods within 2 weeks, so it was a bit of a shock having the last 2 periods like this. :o.
