Just finished Kathy Abernethy's book Menopause the one stop guide. :) I found it very helpful and easy to read. Anyone else recommend any books to those of us new to it all? :-\

Me and My Menopausal Vagina - written by our own MaryJane ;-) ........

Thanks CLKD, I saw her interview with Dr Renee was very good!!

The book is great. I ordered 10 and have handed out 9 so far ;-) whether ladies wanted them or not ;D

I was going to be cheeky & say mine 🤣 thank you CKLD.
A 100 have gone to Australian the other week, & GPs & Gynaes have messaged me saying well done much needed, and all medics need to read it.
So I have done what I set out to do & got a conversation going.
10 is a lot CKLD. Thank you for being a “ spreader†of the VA movement. 🤣💐

My copy is on the book shelf: 1 went to our GP Surgery; several to friends to read and pass on; local book club ...... 1 still to hand to the Vet Surgery ...... otherwise recommended to others even if they don't yet want to know about The Change :D

Congratulations Maryjane!!! Look forward to reading it, will give you a shout out at our menopause group on Tues night ;)

Hi All, I have this minute finished reading Dr Louise Newson's book MENOPAUSE. It is well worth buying, covers all the bases, easy to follow with the right amount of detail, good to pass on to others also. Definately get a copy!
Read the menopausal vagina few weeks ago, already passed it on to someone else, again great read every woman should read it!! x

I'm glad to hear that Louise Newson's book is helpful. Does it give much info on HRT? The books I've read on menopause all seem to say much the same, and the info on HRT is very basic. 🙁

Hi Harmony.
I can recommend « New Natural Alternatives to hrt » by Marilyn Glenville. You can get online for around £2 if that's of interest. X

Hi Harmony, a full chapter on HRT (18 pages), covers HRT: what you need to know, benefits, risks, side effects to expect, body-identical or bioidentical HRT & Testosterone. I found it quite comprehensive. I got it from Haynes the publisher was much cheaper than Amazon and no p&p!! x
