Title: Little knowledge
Post by: Nicolalamb on May 28, 2019, 12:02:26 PM
Is it just my Dr but I have been to my Dr 4 times over the past 18 months for blurred vision. And giddy feeling told them I'd had eye test just in case. I have been put on antibiotics for these symptoms had my ears saringed they got nothing out!  "  told could be virtigo. Saw a nurse for my general check up she told me to join this site I was shocked 😲 I could not believe so many of my (going bonkers) symptoms were caused by menopause why didn't the Dr figure this out before. ON Hrt now and the madness has gone.

Many GPs listen to what a patient tells them but don't think outside the box?

:welcomemm:  browse round.  Make notes.  Decide which symptom you would like to ease first?

I have a nerve in the back of my neck which if I turn my head makes me go 'oh', it's a peculiar feeling that is sudden.

Apparently menopause is an option in their training. I agree with you completely, every gp should know all the symptoms. Mine was undiagnosed for 2 years despite being 56 & 57 which really should have given them a clue.  >:(
