For me, gardening and The Archers

Oh good thread!
Not much once it's taken hold so I swallow the emergency tablet.
Today it's background. I've been to an antique fair and was OK in the hall, then into an antique shop and again, OK. But it's background again. Belly button area tight.
A hot bath with good book. Gardening. Watching TV or listening to music. But if I can sleep that really helps.

When my anxiety is continuous in the background, one thing that sometimes works is I put on one of my marvel dvds and tried to notice new things I haven't spotted before, that's if I'm not distracted by Thor or Captain America or....... well you get the idea (I am a bit of a superhero fanatic ) x

Glad you explained the 'superhero' bit ;D
I might try that with 'Shrek', 'Ice Age' etc. 'cos I see different drawings every time!

I love ice age and shrek as well CLKD they are so well written and plenty of humour x

Wouldn't work for me, Chris Hemsworth just too much of a distraction🔨ok not quite Thors hammer, but beggars can't be choosers

I love the marvel films too.
Any film gets my mind off the anxiety really.unless it's a horror film, which makes it worse.
But sometimes I unlock my attention, and feel it again, then it takes a good few minutes to get back to the film...
Thor and captain America gets my vote, oh and iron man, love iron man....😍😍😍

Years ago when I was sole carer in a boarding kennels I sang. Loudly. Every morning I thought "Why Have I signed up for this", dry heaving over the sink. So I sang. Loudly. 'She went down last October, in the pouring, driving, rain ......... '
