Title: Hello everyone
Post by: Judelit on May 22, 2019, 05:19:19 PM
Hi, I've just joined and finding the information and sharing useful already.

I'm post meno, aged 56 and was coping well with a Mirena coil and Elleste solo, for last couple of years

However, I now have palpitations and anxiety, both of which I've never experienced before

Having flown regularly with my job, I now have an issue with enclosed spaces

I exercise regularly and started yoga just a few weeks ago which helps

My ECG, BP and blood tests all normal

It is good to be part of this network x

:welcomemm: Judelit.  You are not alone in this. I too went through what you are describing. I used to give talks to expats in a room without windows two or three times a week and totally freaked out one day and had to stop that part of my job. I also flew a lot and used to panic at the thought of being in a plane for up to thirteen hours. I used lots of calming tricks. Listening to music or just someone chatting or reading helped. Hope you feel the benefits of doing yoga too

Hi, I have been claustrophobic all my life but it has improved post meno.  I can now go on the Tube without freaking so there is light at the end of the tunnel (sorry).

Thank you for your comments

I have exercised regularly all of my adult life, 3-4 hours a week

I'm 3 years post meno and have never experienced anxiety before

I've just been prescribed Everol 50 patches but feel dizzy and having mild palpitations.

Is Estrogel better or should I persevere?   :)
