Title: Lack of leg hair

Anyone else experiencing this? Gradually over time the hairs on my legs have stopped growing. I no longer need to shave my legs. Is this normal? I'm 61 years old 6 years since last period. Thanks in advance

Yes, absolutely normal! The same will happen to underarm hair and to some extent pubic. The lack of hormones makes the hair follicles die off.

Yes perfectly normal although my missing leg hair has emerged on my chin  ;D

Why is this the only menopause symptom I don't have  :(

I'd love my leg hair to disappear. I don't have much at all elsewhere but my lower legs quickly resemble a forest if I don't get rid of it  :o

Still got mine too.  Have to shave twice a week in the summer but I do think it is slowing. 

Virtually no underarm hair now.

I've never had underarm hair but have to do lower legs every day. Does it slow even if you use HRT?

My mum always said her body hair all dropped out by 50. Sadly I seem to be the opposite. I could plait my leg hair 😂 x

Mine started slowing down after reaching 60. My skin is very dry now too and mostly I feel sort of dried up and energy-less. I'm on HRT and have been for 12 years roughly.

I get dry legs on my shins.

My hair went like straw, a couple of years post memo. I have always had oily hair until then. Luckily it has settled down but I have to be careful what shampoo I use now.

If you pull the hair on your chin what happens  :o

I have two bald areas down each shin, probably due to wearing thick tights and then trousers.  Otherwise, I could knit with it  :'(

I have had same, leg hair has greatly reduced, where as before I had to shave my legs every 2 days now once a week does it...However, the hair is all growing out of my chin/neck now, not a pretty sight!!

I've still got leg hair, underarm hair, down below hair, in fact ....flipping hair everywhere!
I hate it, can't wait for it to all drop out! 🤨 😆

I have my own personal fur coat, my legs are hairier than my husband's.  At one point they were so hairy I thought I was going to grow hooves - but that was just my toe nails thickening.
