Hi there I am post menopausal nearly 60 years old and on hrt evorel conti patches have been taking them for four years , just recently I have had bleeding continuously for three weeks with blood clots, I have been to my gp who refered me for a ct scan which I had today , was told by the ct operator that I had thickening of the lining and it measured between 10/12 he said it should be no more than 5 at my age post menopausal , he is writing to my gp and it will be up to her what she would do .
Any advise would be helpful along with others who have been in this position.
Is it time now to give up the hrt ?
I have noticed I have had a aching dragging pain across my lower tummy .

Sorry can't help. Don't think that you need to stop HRT - how much is it helping overall? There are other ways of delivering hormones.

Can I ask what happened after your last ultrasound where you were found to have a bulky uterus with your cervix closed? Your lining then was much less than now. Have you had any further investigation since then?

Hi tax,
I had a hysteroscopy back in 2017 and again the lining was thickened but nothing like this, I had a biopsy which was ok back in 2017 , and no further treatment until the bleeding now and the ct scan today .
Looking back I have been on hrt evorol conti for approx 3.5 years .
Really worried about the lining thickening at 10/12 🤔

I had a reading of 8mm & it turned out to be a fibroid - the sonographer had measured the lining + the fibroid as it was "hiding" & she thought it was all part of the lining. Turned out all ok, maybe this is what has happened to you.
Try not to worry. You can't do very much about it. Your GP is likely to send you to see a gynae to double check.
Let us know how you get on & don't think of the worse case scenario.
