Hello everybody, I do have a question and couldn't find the answer in the internet. Does anybody know if you put on weight by using patches ( fem7 sequi)? Maybe it is an unusual question, but I don't eat much, try to avoid sugar etc.but don't lose weight. I was a size 10 to 12 for years and now it is a size 14. What do you do?

Ladylollipop I would say yes, or that's been my experience anyway. I was always slim pre hrt, but now I really have to watch it. Maybe my body would have changed once menopausal anyway (who knows), unfortunately I suspect it's the price we pay to feel well x

Sadly when we get to menopause, our ability to maintain our weight gets harder whether on HRT or not - I've cut down what I eat by about one third! Some women find they put on some weight when on HRT while others find they can keep their weight down better while on HRT because they feel better and have more energy. I have found my shape has changed - I have lost some muscle mass and my bum is flatter but I've gained some fat around my tummy and hips that won't shift regardless of diet or exercise. It is more attractive to be just a little more ‘rounded' as we age - it's kinder on the face.
I hope you will find the HRT gives you better quality of life which allows you more energy to exercise and enjoy life. DG x

Yep! Didn't gain weight on Estrogel, was a size 8 and have been for 10 years. 6 months on Estradot patches my stomach resembles a concertina and size 10 is getting too tight. Boobs have gone from a D to an E.

I'm finding the same on Estradot ???

Hi :) no estradot is my first! It does list abdominal bloating so a potential side effect I think, its hard to the touch not squishy if you know what I mean, my size 10s leggings are tight around the waist now :(

I have put on weight on my belly, hips and thighs in the six months I've been using Evorel and I'm not eating any more or exercising any less. My work trousers don't fit!
