Title: Could someone 21, no periods have vagifem?
Post by: Sarai on April 24, 2019, 03:07:36 PM
This seems an odd group to ask on but this girl is 21, lots of health issues, one of which was no periods up to 20, on the pill now, don't know which. Shes been telling me how many UTI's she gets, shes had wash outs, and a million antibiotics, no CT to see if her plumbing is OK. But it just occurred to me vagifem might help, does sound stupid.

They can prescribe Vagifem to BF mothers, so it isn't just menopause age, the pill can cause vaginal dryness, so if she has that maybe it's not helping with the UTI's.

I no of 14 year olds being given it for repeated UTIs, I also know quite a few in there mid 20s who have Vulvodynia & it has helped some of them .

This 21 year old needs treatment for vaginal atrophy.  What support is she getting re lack of periods?  Is she anorexic?  Does she have hormonally problems which are being over-seen appropriately?
