Hello
I have an near constant swollen armpit and have had for about 2 months. When I extend my arm over my head, I can feel gristly lumps but I have had fatty lumps before and so I've just presumed it's that.
Should I be more concerned? Is a swollen armpit normal on HRT? I take Estradot, tostran and have mirena coil in.
Thanks

If you are concerned enough to post here then maybe visit your Practice Nurse or Pharmacist?

Please get it checked out.

No heroics. It's always worth getting these things checked out just to be on the safe side.
Please let us know how you get on.
All the best to you x

You should definitely get this checked out. Please get an appointment and let us know how you get on.

I have an appointment for Monday.
Now I feel kinda worried...
-
No heroics. It's just to be on 5he safe side. Just a precaution. Please try not to worry. You've made the appointment now so you will soon be checked out and hopefully put your mind at rest.
I have very reactive glands in my armpits and neck which swell and can be painful, usually when I'm run down. They feel like nodules. . At one point they came up in groin as well and doc sent me to be checked out but it was nothing untoward at all. Yours could be something simple like that.
Do not be afraid to post more. This is a great place for support when you are worried about something. Sending love x

A virus can trigger those glands in the groin, armpit and across the belly - so get it checked and let us know.
-
But I haven't had a virus, and it's been like this for about 2 months.
-
No heroics. Mine flare up with virus too. But I hadnt had a virus that time they checked it out.
It only got checked out as the ones in my groin were spotted during a smear test.
The one in my neck was biopsied and it was completely benign.
I had been exercising excessively and not eating much and although i felt great the conclusion was that i was "run down".
I thought I'd share it with you to show that it's not always something nasty. Dont be scared by the fact that we all said "get it checked out". It just makes sense to do so.
I meant to ask you. Are they red and/or painful. Ingrown hairs can cause problems sometimes.
-
Thanks tc. No, no ingrown hairs. No redness. Just very puffy/swollen. Feels like marshmellow. If I press into the armpit, I can feel very tiny lumps. But that could just be nothing, and I'm looking for stuff!
