Hello all
Sadly my mirena hasn't settled down after 9 months. Unusual for me as I had the mirena for 17 years and it was great. This one is for hrt purposes. I don't understand why I am bleeding when I am post menopause? I have a large fibroid and perhaps the coil is in a place aggravating it? Any thoughts appreciated.
I have Evorel 100 mug and two pumps of estrogel daily.
Could my coil cause bleeding or could it be something more sinister?
I have a scan tomorrow, just want to ask good questions.
Thanks!

Could it be that the oestrogen has caused your fibroids to grow despite the Mirena. I was on sequential HRT and mine grew considerably due to the oestrogen.
Good luck with your scan

Hi CarryWarry
You are on a very, very high dose of oestrogen so I doubt anything would prevent you from bleeding. I would have thought your womb lining would build up a great deal on such a high dose. How did the scan go? DG x
