Title: HRT and blood pressure
Post by: Charliegirl@ on March 15, 2019, 02:01:42 PM
Hi all, I have been taken off estrogen due to high blood pressure. Any suggestions as to what I might try now as still getting, dizzy, nausea and night sweats. I am 66 and have had a hysterectomy.
Cheers!

I would have thought the high BP was a separate issue. I have hypertension and medication to control it, but am also on oestrogen patches. Hypertension is not a reason to be denied HRT, although it appears some GPs think it is but then they are rarely up to date.

You can take HRT, but patches or Estrogel is recommended , once you BP is controlled by medication, its not a reason to have to stop it.
