I have been on Prof Studd's regime of 4 pumps Estrogel + 100mg Utrogestan 7 days per month + blob of Testogel every day for nearly 3 years. When I first started this regime I would get a light withdrawal bleed roughly 3-4 days after finishing the Utrogestan. After a while this changed to me getting a light withdrawal halfway through taking the Utrogestan. Now for the last 2 months I have had a light withdrawal bleed a few days BEFORE even starting the Utrogestan!
Presumably this means I must still be producing sufficient of my own progesterone to cause my womb lining to shed? This regime was designed to supress my own cycle to alleviate the dreadful low mood and anxiety issues I had - and considering the amount of Estrogel I take + the fact I'm 49 this year, I cannot believe my body is still manufacturing its own bloody progesterone?
