Title: HRT and raised blood pressure
Post by: Melathome on February 23, 2019, 01:38:00 PM
Hi,
I have been on HRT since last summer,  I am 51, and peri menopausal.  Since I started HRT my blood pressure has been high.  I am trying to find out if there is a link between high BP and HRT.
My previous GP was keen that I stay on the HRT and take BP medication.  Prior to going on HRT my BP was consistently normal (120's).  Unfortunately previous lovely GP has left the practice and I am back to the same frustrating discussions with middle aged male GP.
Any input from the forum on whether the high BP is caused by HRT, or just age would be very welcome .....
(FYI I am on Elleste duet)
Thank you

I know that I never had high blood pressure until I went on tibolone. Others on here will probably be able to help you more. Poor you with middle aged male gp!
