Post by: LW44 on February 02, 2019, 07:23:22 PM
Hi ladies

Im on day 3 of utrogestan 200mg pessaries.. after 3 years 1mg oestrogen only, ive not had a period for 6 months after being monitored consultant has said i need to take this and have a bleed  also my oestrogen needs upping as hot flushes are back.. he will do this after bleed.. anyway i can feel my mood dropping.. like pmt.. is this possible after 3 days??  Im progestrone intolerant.. was hoping this was thr safest bet.. also should i increase my oestrogen to maybe
1.5mg  from 1mg to help with this? Thanks

Definitely possible after 3 days on 200mg - in my experience hormonal mood changes happen pretty damn fast, I can feel a change the same day if something's been altered too quickly. You could try upping your estrogen to compensate, but unfortunately progesterones do often tend to have this increasingly depressive effect - that's why so many women continue using them cyclically well after menopause, rather than switching to a continuous no-bleed regime.
