Hi ladies
As a lot of you may know supplies of Femseven Conti patches have been discontinued for the foreseeable future so I'm looking for advice on what to switch to. There is only one other combined continuous patch, Evorel Conti, but I tried that before the Femseven and had some horrible side effects
My GP has given me Kliovance tablets but I think I would rather have an Oestrogen patch or gel and a separate Progesterone tablet.
I'd be very grateful for advice and to hear from anyone who has found a suitable alternative as I only have 1 patch left and am going to see my doctor on Wednesday.
Thanks in advance

I would ask for Oestrogel and Utrogestan. The progesterone in Kliovance is the same as the progesterone on Evorel Conti so is likely to affect you in the same way. x

Thanks so much for your reply Dotty. I was thinking maybe the gel would be better.
Are you on this combination and, if so, how do you find it? X

Yes I'm on Oestrogel and Utrogestan. I was on hrt tablets to begin with for 4 months but they didn't help at all. I was very ill with menopause symptoms ....housebound for 6 months dude to total exhaustion and other horrific symptoms. Once I got onto oestrogel and Utrogestan I began to improve and I'm fine now. I've had no side effects at all x

I'm so pleased the Oestrogel and Utrogestan are working for you. When the menopause started for me I was scared to go out of the house and very anxious. Things have calmed down since then but I can feel some anxiety creeping back, so I like the idea of being able to tweak the dose up or down with the gel if necessary.
Thanks very much for the advice. I will ask my doctor for that combination tomorrow x

Hi Dotty
I've changed to Oestrodose and Utrogestan and I actually feel calmer already.😁
Can I just ask how often you take the Utrogestan please as I have been told to take 100mg every day and the pack says it take 200mg from days 15 to 26. I'm postmenopausal and haven't had a period for 2 and a half years.
I'm a but confused and will speak to the pharmacist later but thought I would check with you too.
Thanks.
