It's coming at last ! Hurrah! Slightly lighter tonight here. 4:15 and still light and sunny.
We will all feel better for the longer days I am sure.
Saw first snowdrops and catkins today. :)

My garden is very confused - my lily bulbs in the pots seem to be poking through. Not due until June! and the honeysuckle has all its buds!
-
Have seen hazel catkins in the hedgerows since Boxing Day. My yellow forsythia has been out for 4/5 weeks. Snowdrops are up but not opening, maybe they know something? 1 small aconite plant in flower ........
Birds singing and chasing across the garden :)

We have a lot of bulbs coming through. No idea what they are though.

Our daffodils are through 🌼

Unless you're like me who thrives in the winter and loves the short, dark days. I'm ignoring the signs of Spring .. ;D

Blimey, thought I was the only one taz, I like winter, the dark nights and the fresh days, I dread the heat, especially with these #*@+~>^ hot flushes 😥
-
I've always loved the winter months. It's the long hours of daylight in the summer which I hate. It's reverse SAD apparently!
Sorry about your flushes

Jaypo and Taz - long winter nights are my worst nightmare!
I live for 30 degree heat and mega sunny days. If you believe in re-incarnation I was a Bedhouin from the Sahara in a former life!
Ha Ha Jaypo - Wilshire! I lived in Dorset next door! which has the most amount of sunny days for any part of the UK I think and Poole has it's own micro-climate. In winter I only wore a roll neck and a fleece. I married and moved to Belfast and on getting off the plan for the first time, had to go to Belfast City Centre and buy a winter coat! I like life in NI but not the weather, I miss my sunny days :-\ :'(
Worried about the garden though, any very cold snap or snow like they predict and it will kill off everything.

Snowdrops and catkins are always out here mid-January. I want to go and pat them back down underground for a bit longer as hate the feeling that winter is slipping away. March is my worst month. By April I'm getting used to it. May is ok and then June has the longest day and I can breathe a sigh of relief that the evenings will start to draw in.
