So aside from all the other symptoms, for the last few months I've been noticing how out of breath I was in certain circumstances. Thought it might have been anaemia so took iron tablets, no difference. I'm pretty fit and was struggling to keep up with people on slight inclines. Even sitting I would feel breathless. Finally went to doc today to be told it may be linked to menopause. They are going to do all the tests but so far my blood pressure, heart and lungs all are fine so it's all pointing to yet another thing to cope with in this hell. I'm scunnered!

Could it be fluid retention? I had that prior to each period. Even now I find that I can't draw a deep breath sometimes.

Hi Willowranch.
I had breathless symptom too, didn't like it at all.
It caused a lot of anxiety for me, but then, it might be linked to the anxiety,
I don't really know.
I even thought I'd got asthma, it was that bad.
So yeah, another symptom for us to deal with.
Xx

Iron tablets won't be much use really, try ferrous sulphate, you need to ask for it though,it's from dispensary not on shelf but better to find out first what's wrong
