Hi all
In a bit of a quandry at the moment and Im actually wondering whether I should have a break from taking the femoston. It has helped a lot with flushes (rare now) and a bit with muscle and joint aches, however my mood keeps plummeting and Im feeling very much 'on the edge'. Sometimes I feel almost manic and others Im in the depths of despair. It is scarey. Before I started on hrt I was missing periods but still having them. They had become quite heavy then lighter. Now, as I get a bleed at the end of the pack of femoston Ive no idea whether Im still peri but I think I probably am.
Im so tired, mentally. I do think sometimes that my mood is lower and anxiety greater on the femoston, but I was very depressed before it too. Also I am sure my memory is a lot worse.
Just dont know what to do...

Were you taking anti-depressant medication at all?
What symptom did you want to ease initially?

Hi Clkd, been on ads for donkeys years, i suppose the low mood, constant crying, irrational thoughts etc are the things im most concerned about, but aching joints and muscles were also a concern

Low oestrogen levels can cause muscles to become lax = aches and pains. Would stopping the HRT and using pain relief be a way to go? Remembering though that we are in the run up to 'that' time of year >:( ::)

Hi Mabel
Which strength of Femoston are you on? If 1/10, the do come as 2/10 - same amount of prog, but with more oestrogen. With the symptoms you're describing, it sounds like you might need more oestrogen xx
