Title: Femoston 2/10 and bleeding
Post by: debra217 on November 15, 2018, 11:57:09 AM
Hello - thought I'd posted this but didn't appear.

I started last month on femoston 2/10. I had tried Elesse Duet a few months ago and didn't do well on the progesterone  part.  Decided to try again and doc put me on femoston 2/10. Still early days but seems to be going well. However had first bleed at end of first packet and it's soooooo heavy.  My period before was only ever 2/3 days and light. I know this is not a natural bleed but it's been 4 days and very heavy.  Is this normal? Will this reduce?

I'm wondering why doc put me on 2/10 instead of 1/10.  My symptoms are predominantly emotional/low mood although some sweating and other physical.

I am 53 - was having eratic periods every few months for past year or so.  Should I ask the doc to switch to the 1/0? Will this reduce the bleed?

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Yes, I'd ask for the lower dose. DG x
