Title: Help on testosterone
Post by: Yorkshire Girl on November 04, 2018, 05:50:51 PM
I've been really useless at using this site recently and you are all so helpful with advice and personal experiences. So I'm back wanting some help and advice.  Just to recap I had TAH + BSO in Dec 2016, in June my doctor put my Everol patches upto 75mg, went back in Sept feeling a lot happier on new dose but as happened before symptoms get worse 1-2 months later so now have an appt on Tuesday. I want to broach the subject of testosterone but I'm worried it will be a waste of time and got a feeling will bottle out of asking. I have had no sex drive, along with not wanting to be touched or even looked at  :'( now for a year or more, haven't mentioned to doc before as I thought patches would help, but no. My sleeping is so disturbed I'm constantly tired, exhausted, no energy, motivation, brain fog, needing a wee more frequently or feel I do, the list is endless! After everything I've read recently about testosterone I feel it will be beneficial but do I also need to up the HRT as well? Even though I still have 2 months supply of 75mg left. any advice grateful, thanks ladies.

Write out a list of your symptoms, tell your gp about this forum and explain how testosterone has helped so many of us.  If they won't prescribe, ask to be referred to an nhs gynae or ask if they could seek advice from one.

My sex drive is still very up and down, sometimes I can't be bothered and sometimes I'm the one initiating it.  But now I get aroused when hubby starts caressing me, there is still the odd occasion I'm really not interested.

But moreover for me it's given me energy, drive and a chance to enjoy things that I used to enjoy again

Also and I always find this the weirdest bit, I feel so much more feminine since being on T ! X

Thanks Annie, I have started writing a list, as after last visit I forgot to mention things. Have added about asking for referral after your suggestion. Will see what happens.
