Title: Gwyneth Paltrow trying to highlight perimenopause
Post by: getting_old on November 02, 2018, 07:49:04 PM
Not sure if this is the right place but not sure where to post it, so please feel free to suggest a better location. Anyway just saw that Gwyneth Paltrow is experiencing perimenopause. Not a fan but good to see someone trying to increase awareness.

So, does she think we should steam our bits? Or just use the vaginal egg 🤪🤪

But seriously, about time famous women started talking about this. Kylie Minogue (thrown into surgical meno with her bc) is now going through a second meno at 50 - she mentioned it in an interview, but was light on detail. She just said other menopausal women would understand what she meant by ‘it doesn't get any easier'.

I'm 46 like GP and my lovely daughter sent me a link to this earlier, with a note saying “it's not just you, Mum”.
Agree - always good to hear someone famous mention it x

I do think it's good that famous women are willing to talk about it, as it's always seemed to be a taboo subject. I've always thought that it would get more air time if it happened to men.
