Oh gawd, my daughter just noticed that I have yet another unexplained spontaneous blood blister, this time on my lip and again big enough to be noticeable, 1cm or so. This is the third in about a month, one under my eye, a huge one on my big toe and now this. Blood test showed my platelet count was normal but my red blood cells were abnormally large, which apparently could be a sign of B12 deficiency or a thyroid problem. But I'm not sure why that would cause spontaneous subcutaneous bleeding.....Have to have a repeat blood test in a couple of weeks, but must admit it's really beginning to freak me out now.
