Title: High blood pressure with different oestrogel.
Post by: Coll on September 21, 2018, 10:04:23 PM
Hi Ladies,

I don't know if anyone can help. I was given a new oestrogel 10 - 14 days ago, its still 80 g and 17%  (Besins)but since Iv been using it my blood pressure has risen and feeling a bit fluey, as I do with progesterone.
Spoken to a couple of Pharmacists and they say they can't get hold of the other one I was prescribed but feel really sad as I  was becoming quite settled and normal  using  the other one.
I feel if I go to the Gp they will take me off it straight away and I don't want to stop.

The only other thing I can think  is that I was trying to up my dose to 4 pumps a day to try and come off my  dailey 10 mg of citalopram. So dont know if Iv ruined things doing that.
Does anyone have any experience ??
Thank you.

53 perimenopausal
Oestrogel 2, 3 pumps
Dot of testogel
Utrogestan every 3 months

Hi there - if you've increased your oestrogel dose and also started coming off ADs at around the same time as starting your new bottle of oestrogel, then one of these is most likely to be the cause of your symptoms - and also if you are peri-menopausal too your own hormones will be adding to the mix. All the Besins estradiol gels are identical - as you say same concentration ofoestrogen and same ingredients. Hope you feel better soon.
