Title: Should I get mirena removed?
Post by: Lisa1966 on September 12, 2018, 06:20:17 PM
Hi ladies,me again here to pick you're brains.
When I was at the drs yesterday,I told her I didn't feel right down below, not sore or anything, just not right,so she checked to see if mirena was still in right place,it was but I'm also having trouble weeing,I'm desperate to go then when I sit on toilet,it takes ages to come, then sometimes it's not much, then I still feel like I need to go,also today I've had the most awful low backache,I took a urine sample into drs and they rang me to say there was no infection, what the hell is going on,it's just one thing after another,I don't know if it's the mirena or could it be va? Any advice plz xx

You haven't had it in long yet have you?

I'd keep it for several months at least.  I have exactly the same problem you mention from time to time and I don't currently have a Mirena so I don't think you can bank on it being the issue.  My phantom urine infections have disappeared since I started using Utrogestan vaginally.  But the inability to empty my bladder persists at the moment.  It is uncomfortable.  I'm hoping the progesterone might help to sort things out down there, but it will take time.
