Hi could my VA be effecting my bottom, for the last few months it's been really sore and the itching is driving me mad, it's the perineum that keeps splitting ( the part between my bottom and my foof ) I've tried estriol cream vaseline baby bum cream. Has anyone got any ideas to what I could use. :'( x

Savlon
Vaseline
KY Jelly
LIVE yoghurt
Lots of. Don't let the area dry out. Keep it moist, apply every 30 mins. initially.

Try vaginal Moisturisers eg SYLK or the YES products - also coconut oil can be great for massaging the perinium. DG x

Maybe you have a fungal infection? I regularly get small splits in upper labia and a few doses of Canesten soon sorts it out - perhaps try that too? Also don't use any perfumed products or soap on the area and wash with warm water after every BM (maybe after wee too?) and pat dry before applying creams or remedies. I use E45 too.

Canesten irritated so much I had to sit in a cool bath for an hour :-\. It is specifically for thrush which thrives on bacteria for which I use LIVE yoghurt - eaten and applied ::).

Canesten is just a fungicidal cream which can be used for all sorts of fungal conditions in addition to thrush. When out of Canesten I've used athletes foot powder to cure the labia splits! ::)
Sitting in a bath of cool yogurt?
