Hi, ive read that the coconut oil is great as a vaginal moisturiser and also to take orally. Ive looked on the Holland & Barrett website and not sure which one is the right one to use. Has anybody used the oil and which one is it that i need to get :) TIA x

Hi Libby - I use coconut oil, this extra virgin one:

it's on offer at the moment at H&B.
I use a spoon to shape hardened oil into pessaries, keep in a small container in the fridge - and use vaginally, so soothing.
Also you can warm it and pour into ice cube tray - and add other essential oils. Or make suppositories. It's so versatile.

Not yet tried using in cooking etc.
Good luck with it - I wouldn't be without it now.

I love coconut oil for cooking, putting on my skin and moisturising anything.
I would not use Holland & Barrett products though. They are not known for their quality ingredients and with coconut oil you should try to be sure it's not harmful to land and animal when it's harvested. Go for an Extra Virgin, cold pressed, organic coconut oil if you can to be sure you are getting the best. All the supermarkets stock it now. Ocado have several brands.

The coconut oils in H&B are not "own brand".
The Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed, Organic Vito one is sold elsewhere as well as H&B, it's just on offer at the moment.
Forgot to say, if using as a vag pessary, a pant liner is needed.

That's perfect then. It's their own brands I dislike for various reasons. Usually the iffy quality.
