Title: Elleste duet - period

Hi there meno-peers,

Is it normal to get a period 10 days into the estrogen phase? I'm in my second month of taking the pills.

Are you on  Elleste Duet Conti?  I had a 4 week and 3 day bleed with this, I started the HRT in April and was taken off it a few weeks ago because of the bleed.
My doctor said bleeding was normal within the first 6 months of starting HRT but eventually agreed a bleed lasting 4 weeks and 3 days was not normal so took me off it.

Oh dear, that sounds dire.
Mine is not Conti, just Elleste Duet. Are you on something else now?

I understand that bleeding is normal, I just expected it at the end of the progesterone phase, as it, at the end of the 'cycle.'

I'm now on Estraderm MX 25 patches and Utrogestan 100mg, but looking further into the Utrogestan the leaflet says if you have asthma you shouldn't  take it, I have asthma.  And it contains soya which is not good as I also have an under active thyroid. So a bit stuck at the moment lol.
