Hi ladies.
I keep getting horrible chest pain like it's in the bone directly under and in the
centre of my boobs....
It's where the wire is in my bra, that's where it's sore, and if I apply pressure, it's quite
tender.
Anyone else had this, was wondering if it too much oestrogen.?
Will book in with doc if it doesn't subside soon. Although, I've had it for about a week now.
Thanx ladies,
Jd xx

Stop wearing a 'bra? There is a soft area there which can be sensitive. Remember, as oestrogen levels drop muscles may become lax etc., etc. ........
-
Thanx ladies.
I know it's probably to do with my bra, in my logical head, lol
but yesterday it was really bad, and because my anxiety was high,(a load of :argue: going on with family)
I think I just started to panic, and needed some reassurance off you ladies.
It feels like something's been pressing hard on the area for sometime, and now it's sore.
I'll pop into marks later and have a look, maybe buy a couple and see how that goes.
NEVER had anything like this before, and I think it was just freaking me out ...
Thanx ladies, feel better now you've gave me back my logic...lol
Take care

I had this and even made an appointment to see the Doctor. The cartilage where the ribs meet the breast bone can become inflamed. I stopped wearing bras for several weeks. I bought vest tops with just a little bit of elastic to make a bra section (M&S). Did the trick. Back to normal bras now but No WIRE.
-
I haven't worn a 'bra for over 15 years.
How is the sensation today, did you take pain relief?
-
Hi jillydoll. I have something similar. Is it a sharp, pin point needle like stab? Turned out to be costochrondritis; inflamation of the cartilage/muscle between the rib and sternum. Very common in our age group, mainly just due to wear & tear. I went to an oesteopath but it didn't really shift it completely. It has come and gone for about 3 years now. Can be agrivated by things like gardening/hoovering. I also find if I have indigestion it can cause it from the pressure on the other side. When I burp it goes. So don't worry but if you see a GP you will have your mind at rest. There is always somthing to freak out about hey!
-
I was just about to say...look up costochondritis. x

Hi, thanx everyone for replying.
The pain is still there today, and I've took painkillers, (co-dyramol) but they
don't take it away completely.
I bought two soft bras, no wires, to see how they go.
I've tried ringing docs, but will have to ring back later for an appointment.
So, I'll just have to wait until then.
Sometimes the pain is sharp, and it hurts when I move in a certain way occasionally,
but if I press on the bone (think it's the sternum?) in the middle it's so sore.,
like it's bruised or something. Exactly where the wires meet in the middle of the boobs.
Put that together with the chest pains from the anxiety, I was really getting freaked out.!
I've managed to calm down a bit now, and the anxiety pains aren't so bad, so hopefully I'll
get an appointment soon and get it looked at..
Thanx again....most appreciated....

So stop pressing it! ::) - it's quite a sensitive area so constantly prodding to check will make it feel bruised.
Has it become worse?
-
No CLKD, no worse, no better.
I know, last night OH, kept saying that, ‘stop touching it'
lol, but I'm a prodder, and a toucher, I can't help it.......lol
When I had a bad leg, I kept pushing on the sore muscle just to see if it was still
sore...I'd shout out in pain, and OH would go mad and shout ‘leave it alone'!!!!
‘You bloody mad woman..'
I'm the same with him, if he's sore anywhere, I'm always pressing n prodding.....lol
-
Costo chondritus hurts when you press it because it is inflammation under the skin. You are just like me jilli doll. I was in bed three nights ago thinking about nothing and was suddently aware of my heart flobbing around, like beating then vibrating. I latched onto it and barely slept that night. Now I have blown it up into a real anxiety and am desperate to get into a GPs office for them to tell me it is nothing. Last night I was so close to driving up to A & E or ringing 111. Now I am hyper aware of any thump and all that anxiety has made me feel queazy. The early hours is a lonely place for health anxiety; especially when your hubbie thinks you are a nutter who has waster 5 years worrying about things that are nothing. Like you I can't get a GP appointment until next week unless I say it is an emergency. I've done two NHS anxiety courses and all they have done is made me more anxious. It is like an addiction. I have been so good for 6 months and am back to square one again!
-
I have never been aware of my heart except when I fell in love ;) and Himself tells me that it's indigestion :D.
........ and breath?!? jillydoll - does your OH appreciate the prodding and ......... :whist:

Hi roseneath.
I'm so sorry, I feel your pain, I honestly do.
I've never had any chest pains before, ever, I've not even had a chest infection, my whole life,
So now, when -ever I get any kind of chest pain , my anxiety try's telling me it's more serious.
Which in turn makes It all the more worse than it is.
It's an utter nightmare.!!!!
What I do is, calm myself right down, (I think I've got that down to an art now,)
And think about what else is wrong , ie, if I'm having a heart attack, I would probably feel sick,
have pain in my jaw, or arm, be sweating , ect.....
When I'm satisfied that I've got no other symptom at all, I start to feel better.
It's crazy ent it.?
It's like I'm getting things BACK into perspective.
Hope you start to feel better soon honey, I know it's hard, but try to relax and calm yourself.
I'm sure if you had anything serious, you'd have more symptoms than you've got....
But I also know, sometimes you just need reassurance from a doctor to put your mind at rest....
Take care,
Jd xx

I worry in the night when I have indigestion: pain under my chin into my jaw, behind my ears ...... lots of excess saliva. Still here though it does cross my mind in the early hours ::)
-
Isn't just awful CLKD.
I wonder sometimes how we all cope.
We must be made out of strong stuff....lol
-
Yep. My tactic is 'these symptoms haven't killed me yet!' ..... then I reach for the Rennies.
