Title: Gel/headache chat with GP
Post by: CarryWarry on August 23, 2018, 09:36:12 AM
Just back from my GP who said that gel absorbs very fast into the body, hence why it's probably helping my headaches more than just patches alone.  It was so good to see a GP who just trusts me and she was very accepting that I should do 3 pumps of gel a day with my 75mcg Evorel, which made me breathe a sigh of relief.

She confirmed that low oestrogen can cause both my headaches, the pain on the right (banished this week since gel has been introduced, hoorah) and the pressure headache when I cough and sneeze.  I had requested changing my BP meds but she was insistent the headaches are due to the menopause.  Keep on UPPING that oestrogen is what I say!  :D

Wow - that's amazing that a GP has allowed you to increase to that amount.  I'm glad you've found a supportive GP who listens, it makes all the difference.
