Title: New mirena journey
Post by: CarryWarry on July 31, 2018, 09:37:26 AM
Hi there, just for those of you about to embark on a Mirena coil as part of your HRT treatment.... I had one fitted 16 days ago and have now stopped bleeding, I'm so pleased as it seemed quite heavy in the first week and I was wondering what I'd done.  I am now seeing how my daily headaches go and am booking acupuncture to go alongside my new oestrogen tablet (2mg Progynova).  I just wish all these things kicked in faster (having tried different HRT for the last 18 months but nothing touching the headaches).  Thoughts go out to all because it's such a horrible time trying to sort out feeling rubbish and it can just go on from month to month while we try and sort things out....we will get there ladies!

I had my Mirena fitted two years ago and had daily spotting for 4.5 months, really pleased I persevered with it as it means I can just use my estrogel.
