Title: oophorectomy - Do i need Progesterone
Post by: yriches65 on July 24, 2018, 08:35:39 PM
Hi All,

I am oophorectomy, been so for the last 13 yrs.... got by without any HRT for 5 yrs , until last 2 yrs.... since then been going through hell....cannot get the balance right.
Taking Estrogel (2 pumps) and 30 Progesterone cream (Emertia) , swing between the physical symptoms and the mental.

When the physical symptoms, nervous stomach, dripping hand and feet etc are better, my mind goes terrible, anxiety, depression, doom and gloom , dark thoughts.... and vice versa

Have tried Estrogel on its own.... but get bad with uncontrollable crying, lump in throat (goitre) etc

GP's give mixed views on me using Progesterone , majority say I don't need it to take it due to no uterus.... but cannot hack it on Estrogen alone

Anyone else oophorectomy ? If so taking progesterone as well ? Have you got sorted ? or struggling

Big Hugs

Y
