Hi,
I've been on HRT Evorel 50 and Utrogestan 200 for 12 days for around 4.5-5 years now.
I was wondering if periods actually stop while taking HRT?
I get a regular bleed but I feel it is forced dur to the HRT regime.
Any thoughts and/or advice?
Thanks

You are on a sequential form of HRT so you will continue to have a bleed each time you finish a progesterone course. It's not a real period, it's a lining clearance and has to happen to keep your womb lining thin. You won't know if your natural periods have stopped because of this forced bleed. You will always bleed whilst taking HRT this way. Depending on your age you could ask to try continuous HRT. You could use the same products but just take 100 Utrogestan every day. Talk to your doctor about it if you are fed up of the bleed and you are OK on the progesterone part of the course.

Hi SueLW,
It makes sense, like I say I was just wondering but I'll keep what you have said in mind.
Thanks
