Title: Estraderm patches v Evorel patches help please?
Post by: Mrsjaffa on June 26, 2018, 06:04:09 PM
Hi!

I had hysterectomy on June 11th and came home with Evorel 25 oestrogen only patches which so far are making me feel soooo much better with no side effects!
Having been to the doctor they have now changed me to same dose but different brand called Estraderm.
Has anyone been on this as I am getting on so well with the Evorel am really worried the change will upset things and have read that some people have reactions to their skin from Estraderm patches?

Thank you for any advice or experiences

Hi Mrsjaffa

Your post seems to have got missed - too much hot weather I think!

The best thing to do is try them and see - which by now hopefully you have done without adverse effects. Of course if you do experience any irritation on the Estraderm then pop back to the doctors and ask them to specify the brand you are used to if possible :). Of those types, I have only used Evorel (in the past) not Estraderm, as I have since used Estradot for many years (much smaller).
