Could be that you need a higher dose.

What are you using for the progestogen part - do you have a Mirena or have had hysterectomy?

Usually if the dose is sufficient to get rid of flushes and sweats it also often deals with other aches and pains - but as Dotty says in your case a higher dose could just do the trick. I would say 50 mcg is the minimum to feel fine most of the time -although some women do OK on lower doses!

Regarding progesterone, I'm on cyclical uterogestan vaginally and oestrogel 2 pumps a day but I'm also taking daily cerazette for contraception as I'm peri and still could get pregnant. Do I actually need the uterogestan? Is it that or the Cerazette, which is a synthetic progesterone only pill, that is making me feel so awful? My boobs are really sore and tender, I'm really bloated, I'm covered in acne and seriously can't think straight. I'm messing up so many arrangements and cocking up in my new job all over the show. What should I do? My GP is not knowledgeable at all..

Hi there, just wondering why the Dr's given you both .I'm not an expert, but this may be too many hormones for your body to take ?
Maybe you would be better on mirena coil for progesterone part .
It's worth a chat with gp or maybe a nurse who's knowledgeable about hrt /menopause.
