Title: HRT and sickness
Post by: mumofthree on June 08, 2018, 09:12:14 PM
I've been on Evorel 50 for 6 weeks. Last few days I've felt sick on and off, this evening I feel really sick, just like pregnancy sickness. Is this normal?

Hi,
I started ellestte duet 8 weeks ago felt vague nausea to start, but boy did that go up when I started the progesterone bit🤢. Rang my gp and they changed it to femoston, again vague nausea, but about to start the progesterone tonight so 🤞.
I suppose I expected it , as i had nausea when i started the pill moons ago.
I guess with hormones it is normal and i am hoping it will settle- but if it doesn't then is it bad enough to make me stop- probably not, i can handle the nausea more than night sweat and flushes!

I do think some women get a kind of ‘Morning sickness/nausea' with HRT, especially oral HRT. Do take the pills with food and eat small meals regularly. I suspect this is also the body adjusting to the hormones so probably settles after a time.
Some , like me, find the nausea is worse without HRT-  problems with the digestion seems to be a common meno syptom DG x
