Hi robotwars. There are 64 pumps in a container so at 2 pumps a day it will last you 32 days.

As Roo said, about a month, you should be able to get more than one on a prescription! I get three at a time for one prescription charge

I think for all meds now they've recently changed the prescribing to one months supply only per prescription charge. I remember seeing it on a news report somewhere and people were annoyed.

Same with me it's one can only or one pack of vagifem only and don't dare ask online for both items on the same script or it's ignored.seems nuts to me when reviews are done 12 monthly so after the usual 3 months trialing time  has lapsed we should be able to get our required meds every 3 months not monthly and then we have the usual struggle of trying to find stockists on top of this it's ridiculous.

Thanks everyone, i'm 3 weeks in so I think I need to try and get some more, this will be interesting, I feel a fight coming on as I got it by going private, last time my doctors wouldn't give it, so I will try one more time with doctor if not I will get it privately ….. definitely trying doctors first....

Well I contacted my surgery last Friday for the oesteogel on NHS prescription and so far nothing, I have written to them and telephoned and sspoken to receptionist, she says its in the hands of the doctor and she is waiting to hear and they will contact me so far nothing, im getting very frustrated as if they wont give me a prescription I need to contact my private consultant who is an hour away from me, im also getting very low in what I have left!!!! Why cant they just tell me yes or no... what a nightmare!

This happened to me last script - I asked for vagifem and oestrogel on a Thursday  I think.  Got to pharmacy the following Tuesday and they hadn't got the message.  Went to drs on the Wednesday and had a moan, dr signed it off that day (Thursday,  one whole week later).  Went back to pharmacy the next week and he'd only prescribed the vagifem, not the oestrogel !

It's a bloody joke what's going on x
