Title: How long should a break through bleed last
Post by: Aileenf on May 28, 2018, 12:09:39 PM
Hi, me again, can anyone tell me how long a minor breakthrough bleed should last, I will be 3 months on angeliq on Wednesday and have been having a trace/minor bleed for over two weeks now.

Spotting or erratic bleeding should have stopped within the first 6 months and if it doesn't then you may need a scan and possibly a different hrt option DG x

Thank you, scans have been and everything ok, everything has been great for the first 11 weeks, then this started, was hoping it would have subsided by now.

Breakthrough bleeding and spotting is not unusual on any Conti hrt I'm afraid. The only non bleed regime that worked for me was the Mirena with Oestrogel. DG x
