Good morning
I'm after a bit more advice please ladies. I've recently changed HRT from Estrogel/Utrogestan to Femoston 1/5. The reason for the change was the Estrogel was causing a spotty rash on my face, terrible stomach discomfort and my hair started to fall out :( Since changing to Femoston my stomach is a lot better and the spots have gone. However, I'm now suffering with achey, sore joints and I'm feeling really tired all of the time. I'm thinking that maybe I need a bit more estrogen so considering trying the 2mg Femoston. I know I'll get a bleed with this one but I'm not really bothered about that as I used to have one when I was on Prempak.
Your views/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Find a good over-the-counter pain relief. As oestrogen levels drop apparently the muscles may become lax = aches and pains. Make adjustments to your sitting positions, how you walk, even your foot wear.

Rosie - you may well do better on a sequential hrt. It wouldn't have been the Oestrogel that gave you the rash - I got a facial rash and stomach cramps from the Utrogestan.
The fatigue you are feeling with Femoston is probably because of the continuous progesterone ( this can happen with any progesterone) so I would try the Femoston Sequi 1:10 first and go to the higher dose of 2:10 if the flushes aren't under control.

Ah ok, thanks ladies. Funnily enough DG my flushes have always been mild, it's all the other horrible symptoms that have got me down. Just when I think everything's under control, something else comes along and bites me on the bum. Ah well, onwards and upwards :)

Yes I agree with Dancinggirl - you may find a pleasant relief once you only take progestogen cyclically! Lots of us on here do even tho' post-menopause :)
