Title: NAUSEA and adominal pain
Post by: Sgtvhilts on May 17, 2018, 07:32:08 PM
Oh things were going soooo well!
Started elleste duo 1 about 20 days ago. At first ... bliss, night sweat& flushes = gone, mood up, anxiety- down all good
Until....... progesterone..... i am extremely nauseous, with upper abdominal pain, like a vice, then i puke and its better. Really random as well ok for a few days then off again
Just wondering
1) is this to be expected and will settle down
2) not to be expected and to see gp to,change progesterone part
3) do nothing , it will pass.
 Help

This side effect seems odd. Are you taking the pills with food?
If taken on an empty stomach then you could be getting really bad heartburn that is making you sick???
Try taking pills with food and maybe take a couple of gaviscon an hour after the meal.
You might do better with transdermal hrt but keep going for a couple more months with Elleste to see if things settle. DG x
