Title: Evorel 50 hrt patches
Post by: Bracken willowshimmer on May 08, 2018, 09:42:49 AM
Hi ladies,

I would be grateful for any advice regarding my Evorel patches.

I am on evorel 50 and wanted to know is it possible to increase the patch if symptoms are returning?  I'm not sure if this is possible.  I am 46, my peri symptoms have been controlled over the last few years by hrt and the mirena coil.  Why do the patches come in different doses? Could I put one and a half patches on?

Thanks for your help xx

Yes Evorel patches come in higher doses - they are all listed here: https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/treatafter.php If you have a Mirena then it is very easy to increase without worrying about overthickening of your womb lining. You can cut the patch is half to see if 75 mcg suits you better, and if so, then after a few weeks visit your GP and let him/her know so that your prescription can be revised with their agreement. The patches are different doses because women need different doses of oestrogen!
